It's been a while since I've posted...busy busy! We had a great time on our trip to NYC and then we jumped right into wedding planning. Last night Jimmy and I met with Ann at Park Cities Hilton to "talk turkey". We wanted to make sure that our numbers could match up with what we are envisioning for the reception. After our discussion, we decided to make our non-refundable deposit and book it! We really feel at ease with Ann and believe that she really gets us. Park Cities may be a little more expensive, but we feel that the combination of quality and quantity will far outweigh any other reception sites.
So now, you'd think I would be a little relieved to cross one more thing off of our list of things to do but nope...I'm more stressed now. I have more questions. Will we have enough food? Will people like the food? Did I make the decision to quickly? I can't remember who gave me this advice, but I need to follow it: Once you make a decision, walk away from it. It's going to take a lot of effort on my part, but hopefully I can heed that advice!
Now we're going to take a bit of a break and then move on to booking a DJ.

Almost the weekend!
Good morning! It's Wednesday and I'm SO ready for the weekend. This weekend is the culmination of a lot of planning. We booked our flights to NYC in January, so it's definitely a long time coming. It's sure to be a much needed distraction from everything in the works at home here in Dallas. I've been getting tons of wedding planning advice lately...some solicited and a lot that is unsolicited. I spent some time at the WC's last night...love them! Jimmy and I are very blessed to have friends like them! We talked about different weddings we'd been to and what worked and what didn't in each of them. We came to one conclusion which I feel is very important when planning a wedding...decide what's most important to us and what we want to spend the most time and $ money on. Good advice!
So, here are some more plans we've already set on:
Officiant: Jason W, dear friend and Associate Pastor of Youth & Missions at RLBC
Soloists: dear friends, Brittany W and Jonathan G
Bridesmaids: Lisa (sister, matron of honor), Melinda (sister-in-law), Kim (Jimmy's sister), Meyer (college friend), Jackie (childhood friend), Amy (childhood friend)
I'm on a planning hiatus until next week :)
