Adventures at Bed, Bath & Beyond

Yesterday was a nice little Saturday...instead of hanging out on the couch, we decided to spend our afternoon at Bed, Bath & Beyond to get a head start on our bridal registry. We have limited free weekends and thought it would be good to get this out of the way early. Plus, I think I'm having 3 showers and with the holidays right in the middle of our engagement, we may have to get creative with the times and dates for each of them.

More so than any other part of the planning, Jimmy and I have been the most excited about completing our registry! It's something that is truly going to set the stage for having OUR stuff...not my things and his things. Yes, we're planning the wedding together is fun, but the items we register for will be with us for a long time after our wedding.

So, there we were--scan gun and list of necessities (and/or frivolous items) in hand, we were ready! Let's just say it was a very eye-opening day for us. We had no idea we needed to register for so many items AND we had no idea we'd have some many options for things. Do we really register for chip clips? Calphalon or All-Clad? Cuisinart or KitchenAid? All very tough decisions. All in all, (3+ hours later!) I think we did a great job and had a fun time doing it AND I only had to call my mom and/or sister a few times for their advice. We are going to register at a few other places, but I'm not quite sure where. Maybe Macy's, Williams-Sonoma...who knows?
